WHAT IS A DENTAL Hygiene?

Dental hygiene appointments take a holistic approach to oral health care. Therapists play an important part in wider dental health care including preventive dental health and treating gum disease; showing you correct home care and helping to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Gum health is extremely important to ensure success of dental treatment, early intervention can prevent gum disease and dental decay.

Gums are a good indication of an individual’s overall health and wellbeing, a window to the rest of the body, and we therefore encourage our patients to attend for regular appointments.
