WHAT IS A DENTAL BRIDGE?
A dental bridge is a fixed dental prosthesis that is used to replace one or more missing teeth by bridging the gap left by one or more missing teeth.
It is supported by the surrounding healthy teeth and is attached to the natural teeth to keep this prosthetic in place.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A DENTAL BRIDGE?
- An effective way to restore several teeth in a row
- Restores your ability to chew and speak normally
- Enhances the appearance of your smile
- Attractive, natural-looking tooth replacement
- Will help you smile with confidence!

What does it involve?
This treatment for a dental bridge involves several steps. Once your dentist has conducted a thorough examination of your teeth, they will determine if a bridge is the best treatment option for you. This will be based on aesthetics, function and budget.
During the first visit, the dentist will reshape the adjacent teeth in preparation for the bridge. The dentist will take an impression mould of your teeth, this is so the laboratory technician is able to create a perfectly fitting bridge for you. A temporary bridge may be placed to protect the teeth whilst your custom bridge is being made. Once the permanent bridge is ready, it will be fitted, adjusted and securely bonded to the supporting teeth, restoring its strength, functionality, and appearance.
At Keast Mews, we’re committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
